Alberta. WorleyParsons is pleased to announce that it has signed a contract with MEG Energy Corp. (“MEG Energy”) relating to the Christina Lake Phase 2B in situ oil sands plant. WorleyParsons’ scope includes detailed engineering and procurement for the central processing facility for this 35,000 barrels per day steam assisted gravity drainage (“SAGD”) project.
Work has commenced and is being executed at WorleyParsons’ office in Calgary, Alberta, Canada. The contract value is estimated to be $65million Canadian dollars and the work will be completed in late 2011.
MEG Energy is a private corporation based in Calgary, Alberta, focused solely on oil sands development in the southern Athabasca oil sands region of Alberta, Canada.
