Paris. Schlumberger today announced it has been awarded a contract by Heerema Marine Contractors to supply a real-time riser tension monitoring system for nine single leg hybrid risers (SLHR) for a major project offshore Angola.

Calgary. Heritage Oil Plc (TSX:HOC)(LSE:HOIL), an independent upstream exploration and production company, announces that a wholly owned subsidiary has entered into a binding letter of intent ("LOI"), with Eni S.p.A ("Eni") for the sale of its entire interests in Blocks 1 and 3A in Uganda. Completion is subject to the receipt and satisfaction of certain approvals and conditions and to negotiating the terms and conditions of a sale and purchase agreement.

Petroceltic, Sonatrach Test Positive at Algeria's Isarene Block

Algeria. Petroceltic, in association with its partner Sonatrach, the Algerian National Oil & Gas Company, announced that well testing of the Objective Devonian F2 formation at well INE-2 has been successful, with a gas well test rate of 4 million standard cubic feet per day ("MMscf/d") (4,720 cubic metres/hour) with a flowing wellhead pressure of 180 PSI on a 1' choke setting. This flow rate was achieved without the benefit of fracture stimulation which proved successful in testing on the AT-1 well.
