United Kingdom - Oil and gas facilities service provider Petrofac PLC Thursday said it plans to demerge its North Sea oil and gas fields and combine them with the U.K. assets of Swedish independent oil and gas exploration company Lundin Petroleum AB to form a new independent oil and gas company, EnQuest PLC.

UK: Rheochem announces licence extension to North Sea Block 14/11
United Kingdom - Rheochem, the oil and gas business with oil services, production, development and exploration assets, has announced that its 50% owned subsidiary Zeus Petroleum, has been granted a twelve month extension to the initial term of its North Sea licence P1289 over Block 14/11. The initial term of the Licence is now extended to 21st December 2010 and Zeus is required to drill a well during this period to allow any further extension.
Total signs long term contract to import gas for UK via South Hook Terminal
United Kingdom - South Hook Gas Company Ltd has signed a 25-year contract with Total Gas & Power Limited to provide import capacity access and regasification services at the South Hook Terminal at Milford Haven in Wales.
Deals worth billions signed for London Array offshore wind project
United Kingdom - The British bid to develop its offshore wind base has been boosted recently by a formidable multinational and multimillion agreement formalised through six equipment supply contracts for the first phase of the London Array project (630 MW) located close to the mouth of the River Thames in the south east of England and developed by Dong Energy (Denmark), E.On (Germany) and Masdar (Abu Dhabi). The contracts amount to a total of £1.8 billion (€2 billion).
